A high-level delegation from the Agriculture Department Punjab, led by Minister for Agriculture Punjab Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani, has traveled to China with the aim of modernizing agricultural practices through scientific approaches. The delegation included notable figures such as Usama Khan Leghari, Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture, Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, Secretary of Agriculture Punjab, Naveed Asmat Kahloon, Director General Information, as well as other officials.
During their visit, the delegation met with representatives at the headquarters of Syngenta China, where they were warmly received by President FU SU. The discussions centered on the possibility of enhancing quality seed production in Punjab, with Syngenta China offering their full support and technical expertise.
Minister Kirmani highlighted that Syngenta China is committed to implementing measures to increase sesame exports from Punjab. Additionally, there was a strong expression of interest from Syngenta China in establishing a modern technology center within the province.
The delegation”s itinerary also included a visit to YTO, a globally recognized tractor manufacturing company, indicating a focus on integrating advanced machinery into Punjab”s agricultural framework.
This visit underscores Punjab”s efforts to modernize its agricultural sector and improve productivity through international collaboration.
