Punjab Agriculture Delegation Engages with Syngenta in China

A high-level delegation from the Agriculture Department Punjab, led by Minister for Agriculture Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani, has traveled to China to explore scientific advancements aimed at modernizing agriculture. The delegation included notable figures such as Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture Usama Khan Leghari, Secretary of Agriculture Punjab Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, Director General Information Naveed Asmat Kahloon, along with other officials.

During their visit, the delegation met with the leadership at the headquarters of Syngenta China. President FU SU extended a warm welcome, affirming Syngenta”s commitment to providing full cooperation and technical assistance for enhancing the quality of seed production in Punjab.

Minister Kirmani highlighted that Syngenta China plans to implement actionable strategies to boost sesame exports from Punjab. Additionally, the company expressed interest in establishing a modern technology center in the region, which could facilitate further advancements in agricultural practices.

The delegation also toured YTO, a leading tractor manufacturing company renowned globally. This visit is part of Punjab”s broader strategy to modernize its agricultural sector through international cooperation and technological innovation.
