The Kuwait Science Club achieved significant recognition on Saturday by winning the Grand Prize at the Egypt International Science and Technology Fair (EISTF 2025). In addition to the top award, the club secured two gold medals, one silver, and one bronze medal, underscoring the remarkable capabilities of Kuwaiti youth on an international stage.
This announcement was made at the conclusion of the two-day event held at Education City in 6th of October City, Egypt, which featured intense competition among participants from various Arab nations and other countries.
During an interview with KUNA, the Secretary-General of the Club, Ali Al-Jumah, expressed his pride in the ongoing achievements of the club”s members in international contexts. He reiterated the club”s dedication to representing Kuwait with honor at the Egypt International Science and Technology Fair, a commitment that has been in place since the fair”s inaugural edition in 2016.
Dr. Mohammad Al-Saffar, the Head of the Development and Competitive Programs Sector at the club, also conveyed his pride regarding the delegation”s success. He highlighted that this year”s Kuwaiti contingent presented four scientific projects, developed by a group of seven students, both male and female, who had qualified through the Kuwait Science and Engineering Fair.
Dr. Al-Saffar emphasized that this success is a direct result of the National Program for Supporting Young Researchers and Innovators. This initiative is designed to enhance students” skills in scientific research and creativity, while also preparing them for participation in international events.
The EISTF 2025 serves as a prominent international competition that showcases numerous research projects created by university students representing various nations, including the host nation, Egypt.
