The anticipated third season of Euphoria, one of the most acclaimed series in recent years, was discussed by its star Sydney Sweeney during the Power of Women event hosted by Variety. The 28-year-old actress shared a single word to define what viewers can expect from the upcoming season: “What did you expect?”
Sweeney also confirmed that this season will be the last, with HBO officially announcing the conclusion of the series. Reflecting on her journey, she noted, “I grew up with all these people. I filmed the pilot when I was 20 and the first season at 21, so it”s definitely emotional thinking about the end.” She added, “That doesn”t usually happen. I feel like I”m going to cry a lot.”
The cast of the new season includes notable names such as Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Maude Apatow, Colman Domingo, Alexa Demie, and Eric Dane. New additions will feature Sharon Stone, Marshawn Lynch, Rosalía, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, Eli Roth, Trisha Paytas, and Colleen Camp.
Another cast member, also 28, shared insights about the new episodes last month, emphasizing their creativity and cinematic quality. “I don”t know what the others are doing. My story was very particular. You don”t know what everyone else”s stories are. It”s like the FBI files,” she remarked. “So it”s great because I”ll be able to enjoy the show in the same way as everyone else, which I haven”t been able to do before.”
