The 2026 IEEE/JSAP Symposium on VLSI Technology & Circuits has issued a call for papers under the theme “Advancing the AI Frontier through VLSI Innovation.” This significant event will take place from June 14 to June 18, 2026, at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Honolulu, Hawaii.
The submission portal for papers will open on December 2, 2025, with the final deadline for submissions set for January 26, 2026, at 23:59 PST. Additionally, papers for the Late News category can be submitted until March 30, 2026. Detailed instructions regarding the submission process are available online.
The Symposium is particularly interested in papers that explore technical advancements in various areas related to VLSI technology and its applications in artificial intelligence. The program will not only include comprehensive technical sessions but also a series of plenary talks delivered by invited speakers, a demonstration session showcasing outstanding papers, evening panel discussions, joint focus sessions, short courses, and workshops on pertinent topics. This diverse program aims to uphold the Symposium”s status as the leading international conference in the microelectronics field, integrating technology, circuits, and systems in a unique manner.
Moreover, the Symposium will recognize exceptional contributions through the Best Student Paper Awards across different tracks. These awards are determined based on the quality of the papers and presentations. Recipients will receive a monetary prize, support for travel expenses, and a certificate. It is important to note that the lead author and presenter of the paper must be a full-time student at the time of submission.
Extended versions of selected outstanding papers presented at the Symposium will also be invited for publication in prestigious journals, including IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, and IEEE Solid-State Circuits Letters.
