The Abu Dhabi Autonomous Summit, scheduled for November 10, 2025, has unveiled its agenda, focusing on critical regulatory issues, real-world applications, and cross-sector scaling in the rapidly evolving field of autonomous technology. Global industry leaders will convene to discuss pressing challenges related to regulation, integration, and the latest advancements in artificial intelligence, robotics, and smart mobility.
Organized by the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council (SASC), the summit marks the opening of the inaugural Abu Dhabi Autonomous Week (ADAW). It aims to define the next phase of smart and autonomous mobility, establishing Abu Dhabi as a global testing ground where autonomy transitions from pilot projects to public benefits across land, sea, air, and robotics, as well as industrial applications.
Under the theme “Where the Future of Smart and Autonomous Mobility is Shaped,” the summit will feature 13 sessions with over 30 speakers. The goal is to accelerate collaboration among policymakers, operators, investors, and innovators, translating regulatory frameworks into real-world applications. The event will commence with a Leadership Dialogue focusing on how investment, integration, and innovation will shape Abu Dhabi”s autonomous economy, outlining pathways to commercialization through 2030 and 2040, as well as the public-private partnerships that will enable this vision.
A panel dedicated to Autonomy Regulation will emphasize the principle of “Safety First, Then Scalability,” addressing cybersecurity, data governance, and the development of public trust. The agenda will prioritize deployment, showcasing initiatives like “From Concept to Reality,” which will highlight scalable robotaxis, public transport, and last-mile delivery models.
Further discussions will explore autonomy within electrified and resilient infrastructure that supports urban operations. The human-AI synergy will investigate explainable AI, human oversight, and service design that effectively communicates risks. Additionally, AI-driven decision-making will delve into real-time AI stacks, including drones, smart roads, and secure edge and cloud logistics.
An intersectoral collaboration session will demonstrate how leaders in mobility, energy, logistics, and technology will forge partnerships to develop viable use cases. The design of smart ports and cities will focus on urban planning that accommodates autonomy and industrial applications. Urban air mobility will cover certification, airspace integration, and connectivity between ports, airports, and districts.
The segment “Smart Cities in Action” will showcase tangible transformations, while financing and insuring new asset classes will address adapting capital models and coverage for next-generation platforms. Key industry speakers at the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Summit include Sherif Tawfik from G42, Tony Xu Han of WeRide, and executives from Archer Aviation, among others.
His Excellency Faisal Al Bannai, Secretary General of the Advanced Technology Research Council, stated, “Abu Dhabi Autonomous Week reflects our commitment to shaping the era of smart autonomy, where machines think, adapt, and act alongside us. It is not solely about technology; it is about reimagining mobility, industry, and the human experience itself.”
The program for Abu Dhabi Autonomous Week includes:
