The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has officially announced that the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) for 2025 will take place as originally scheduled. This decision comes in response to rumors suggesting a postponement, which arose after a group of students requested a delay in the exam date.
A statement from the PMDC indicated that the High Court has rejected a petition filed by the students seeking an extension. The Council emphasized that all necessary arrangements have been completed to ensure the examination is conducted smoothly and transparently across the nation.
According to the PMDC, examination venues have been secured nationwide, and provincial authorities have finalized their preparations. Additionally, robust security measures are being implemented to guarantee a fair and peaceful examination atmosphere.
The Council also noted that the preparation of question papers and the distribution of admit cards have been successfully completed. More than 140,000 candidates are registered to participate in this year”s MDCAT. Furthermore, the registration portal was made available twice to assist candidates, and the exam date had previously been extended to accommodate those affected by floods.
“The Council has provided ample time for all candidates to prepare,” stated a spokesperson for the PMDC. The spokesperson further confirmed that there will be no additional delays regarding the MDCAT.
