Three Arrested Following Shooting Incident in Salamanca

Three men have been arrested by the National Police in connection with a shooting incident that occurred in the early hours of October 6 in Salamanca. The police reported that the altercation took place in the Carmen neighborhood following a dispute between individuals in a public area and the three men who arrived at the scene in a van.

During the confrontation, one of the suspects retrieved a shotgun from the vehicle and fired two shots at another individual present, while another assailant struck a woman with a blunt object. A third suspect threatened witnesses with a knife. After the incident, the assailants fled, abandoning their vehicle at the scene.

Upon arrival, officers found a man lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to his leg and abdomen, as well as a woman with a bleeding facial injury. The man reported that his injuries were caused by a shotgun, while the woman stated she was attacked with a blunt object by one of the men involved.

Both victims received initial medical attention at the scene before being transported to a local Hospital for further treatment. Following a search of the area, police discovered a plastic wad from a 12-gauge shotgun shell, commonly used in hunting, along with a knife.

The van in which the assailants arrived was seized and taken to the municipal impound lot. Investigative efforts led to the identification of the suspects, who were arrested the following day and subsequently taken into custody at a police station. They are now awaiting proceedings in front of the Salamanca magistrate”s court.
