Beijing Irrigation Expo 2026 Set to Showcase Smart Agriculture Innovations

Beijing is set to host the 12th International Irrigation Technology Expo and the World Irrigation Technology Congress from March 30 to April 1, 2026. This event will take place at the National Convention Center of China and will run concurrently with the International Modern Protected Agriculture Expo.

Recognized as China”s largest professional event in this sector, the expo aims to serve as a hub for innovation, linking global and national advancements in smart agriculture and irrigation technologies. It will cover the entire industrial chain, focusing on smart farming, protected agriculture, and irrigation technology.

Spanning 30,000 square meters, the expo will feature cutting-edge equipment and technologies from 800 companies across 33 countries and regions. Among the participants will be 20 leading firms, including those from the Fortune 500 list and publicly traded companies.

Organizers anticipate over 35,000 professional buyers will attend, including key procurement entities such as provincial Departments of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, agricultural recovery groups, and large- to medium-sized irrigation district operational centers from throughout China.

The expo will also welcome delegations from renowned international institutions, including the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), leading scientific research organizations, and significant agricultural finance and investment institutions.

In terms of international collaboration, the expo will feature important events such as the “International Promotion Session for Agricultural Irrigation Systems” and the “Global Procurement Matching Conference.” These sessions are designed to bring together representatives from leading agricultural nations, facilitating international partnerships and connecting businesses with global procurement demands.

Throughout the convention, there will be multiple high-level sessions. Distinguished guests, including senior officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, academics from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, industry experts, and representatives from international organizations, have been invited to share insights on the future of agricultural technology.
