Vanesa Romero, known for her role in the popular Spanish series “La que se avecina”, has announced her participation in the new season of “Dancing with the Stars”. She made the announcement on her social media account, previously known as Twitter, which is operated by Mediaset España.
This latest gala from the network Telecinco features contestants from one of Spain”s favorite series, and now, it will showcase celebrities competing in various dance styles alongside professional dancers. Romero is stepping out of her usual acting roles to take on this new challenge, where she will perform live on stage, similar to other renowned personalities who have participated in the show.
Romero emphasized the significance of this opportunity, noting the challenge of gaining approval from both judges and audiences to achieve the highest score of the night. She stated, “It is a whole new experience for me, and I am excited to showcase a different side of myself.”
In addition to her acting career, Vanesa Romero has also ventured into directing. After portraying the character Raquel, she transitioned into directing theater productions, followed by short films that received selections at various film festivals. This year, she premiered another short film that tells the story of a widow trapped in monotony, who finds happiness again through her granddaughter.
Now, with her live television debut in “Dancing with the Stars”, Romero aims to present an unknown facet of her talent to the audience, who will judge her performance as she competes against regular contestants on the show.
