The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has issued a warning regarding heavy rainfall expected to affect many regions of Spain this weekend, specifically on October 19. The forecast indicates that instability will dominate the weather patterns, particularly in the northwest.
Rainfall is anticipated to be intense, especially in the northwestern regions, where persistent showers will be prevalent. In addition to the rain, areas in the eastern third of the peninsula may experience fog banks, while some mist is expected in the northwest.
Among the most impacted areas will be Galicia, where the conditions are expected to be particularly severe. The AEMET also noted that the Levante winds will play a significant role in weather developments across the Alboran Sea, with high-intensity intervals anticipated in the Strait of Gibraltar.
Wind conditions are expected to shift, leading to varying impacts across the regions. The extreme conditions could result in a notable drop in temperatures, contrasting with the pleasant weather experienced following the DANA “Alice” event, as highlighted by the AEMET.
