Governor Jishnu Dev Varma Launches Integrated Research Center at Kaveri University

Governor Jishnu Dev Varma visited Kaveri University and Kaveri Seeds Company on Friday, where he emphasized the importance of innovation and research in fostering social change among students. During his visit, he officially launched the Integrated Research Center and reviewed advancements in various technologies including drones, robotics, and agricultural practices.

During the tour, Governor Varma explored multiple laboratories focused on entomology, pathology, soil science, breeding, and plant physiology. He also attended an exhibition that showcased various technologies developed by students, such as drone technology, robotics, 3D printing, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR) models, and other agricultural innovations.

After observing the vermi compost programs, the governor inaugurated the newly established Integrated Research Center. He toured essential facilities including tissue culture labs, genomics, speed breeding initiatives, plant health laboratories, and the gene bank.

Chancellor GV Bhaskar Rao pointed out the university”s commitment to holistic student development through various proposals and programs. Vice-Chancellor Dr V Praveen Rao expressed optimism that future collaborative research projects with Kaveri Seeds Company would significantly bolster the agricultural sector in the state.
