The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a yellow alert for expected rainfall in the province of Salamanca. The agency forecasts that certain areas may experience precipitation accumulating to 15 liters per square meter within a single hour.
This alert will remain in effect until 5:59 PM across the plateau, the central system, and southern regions of the province. Rainfall during this period could reach levels that pose a significant risk.
Additionally, the alert will extend until 11:59 PM for the same areas, where rainfall totals may accumulate to as much as 40 liters per square meter over a span of twelve hours.
Residents in the affected regions are advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions due to the potential for localized flooding and related hazards.
