The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) for the year 2025 is being conducted today, October 26, throughout Pakistan. This significant examination, as reported by 24NewsHD TV channel, will see participation from approximately 140,125 candidates nationwide.
In addition to local testing centers, an international examination venue has been established in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to accommodate candidates residing abroad. The relevant universities have finalized arrangements to ensure a smooth examination process.
Exam centers will be equipped with proper facilities to support candidates, including the installation of jammers to prevent the use of unauthorized electronic devices during the test. Arrangements have also been made to ensure a comfortable environment inside the exam halls, taking into account the current weather conditions.
Parents accompanying candidates will have access to designated waiting rooms while universities provide bubble sheets with carbon copies for answer submissions. To uphold the integrity of the examination, question papers will be unsealed only in the presence of witnesses, and these papers will be retained for 12 months following the announcement of results.
Results are expected to be released within one week after the examination day, with a comprehensive analytical report to be submitted within ten days of the results being made public. Official answers will be published on the official website immediately after the exam concludes.
Furthermore, candidates will have the opportunity for re-examination within three days of receiving the results. The responsibility for the admissions process will rest with provincial authorities and universities, as the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council will not be involved in admissions. All universities have been instructed to adhere strictly to these guidelines, ensuring that the entire MDCAT process is conducted transparently, honestly, and confidentially.
