The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) for 2025 was conducted today, attracting a total of 140,125 candidates from across Pakistan and an international center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as reported by 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), measures were implemented at exam centers to maintain integrity. Jammers were installed to deter the use of unauthorized electronic devices. Additionally, a separate waiting area was established for parents accompanying candidates.

Universities distributed bubble sheets featuring carbon copies to ensure accurate scoring. Results are expected to be released within one week following the exam. Furthermore, a comprehensive analytical report is required within ten days of the results being announced. Official answers will be published on the PMDC”s website immediately after the examination concludes.

In response to the high number of candidates, a re-examination facility will be made available three days post-results. The responsibility for admissions will rest with provincial authorities and individual universities, with all admissions scheduled for completion by February 28, 2026. Notably, the PMDC will not participate in the admissions process.

In Karachi, approximately 33,000 students participated in the MDCAT, with Dr. Sharjeel, the Central Incharge, overseeing the unsealing of examination papers at the Dow Campus.
