CPHI Frankfurt, one of the largest gatherings in the pharmaceutical sector, is scheduled to take place from October 28 to October 30, 2025. This year marks the 36th edition of the event, which anticipates the attendance of more than 62,000 professionals from the bio/pharmaceutical field.
Tara Dougal, the Event Director for Pharma at Informa Markets, shared insights about what participants can expect. Dougal, who has been with the organization for a decade, noted that this year”s gathering will be the most expansive yet, featuring 2,400 exhibitors and six content theaters that span the entire supply chain.
Attendees will have opportunities to engage with thought leaders and explore current trends in various areas, including bioproduction, drug delivery, and packaging, in addition to the traditional focus on active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
New this year is a leadership summit aimed at executives, which will occur on the morning of the conference”s first day. This session will include discussions from C-suite leaders regarding the broader outlook for the pharmaceutical industry, specifically addressing geopolitical and macroeconomic challenges.
The first evening of the conference will also feature the CPHI celebration, where awards will be distributed across 14 categories. Dougal expressed her anticipation for the evening, emphasizing its role as a prime networking opportunity for all attendees.
One of the central themes for this year”s event is the importance of collaboration across the supply chain, especially in light of recent challenges faced by the industry. Dougal highlighted the need for professionals to reconnect with existing partners and seek new collaborations. She hopes attendees leave with a renewed sense of community and important connections.
Frankfurt”s status as a host city for CPHI is partly due to its excellent logistical connections and its role as a hub for the life sciences industry in Germany, home to numerous biotech and pharmaceutical companies. Dougal mentioned the city”s long-standing partnership with the Frankfurt Messe, which has provided exceptional facilities for the event”s growth.
For those attending CPHI, Dougal advises planning ahead due to the scale of the event. She encourages participants to wear comfortable footwear and to take advantage of various networking activities, including happy hours and the awards ceremony, to maximize their experience.
Overall, CPHI Frankfurt 2025 promises to be a significant event for professionals in the pharmaceutical industry, offering extensive opportunities for learning, networking, and collaboration.
