Absolut Vodka has unveiled a limited edition bottle that pays tribute to the legendary artist Keith Haring, celebrated for his vibrant pop art from the 1980s. This new release draws inspiration from a piece Haring created for the brand in 1986, reflecting the joyful and unifying themes that his work embodies.
The design features Haring”s signature dancing figures, which are etched onto the glass and are known for representing collective joy and togetherness. This limited edition also includes Haring”s autograph on the shrink wrap and a handcrafted version of the Absolut medallion. Alejandro Ayala, the brand manager, noted that Haring”s art and message resonate today perhaps more than ever.
In 1986, Haring became the second artist, following his friend Andy Warhol, to reinterpret the iconic Absolut bottle. Now, nearly four decades later, this collaboration reaffirms the bond between art and consumer products, celebrating Haring”s enduring influence in the art world.
This initiative not only honors Haring”s legacy but also emphasizes Absolut”s ongoing commitment to the arts, showcasing how brands can engage with cultural movements and celebrate influential artists.
