Paul James Stockwell, Jr. has passed away in Las Vegas, but he was originally from Manhattan Beach, California. Born and raised in this coastal city, he attended Mira Costa High School, where he enjoyed spending time with friends and playing football.
In his adult life, Paul primarily lived in Hermosa Beach, a place he adored. He spent his career in the restaurant and bar industry, dedicating a significant portion of his time to Echole”s bar, a well-known establishment at the beach that mirrored his vibrant personality.
Paul was known for his love of life and his enjoyment of social interactions. He greeted friends and family with warmth and shared a hearty laugh reminiscent of his father. With an adventurous spirit, he was always the life of the party. Despite facing personal challenges, his friends and family often found it easy to overlook his issues due to his charismatic nature.
He is survived by his daughter, Holly, as well as his sisters, Peggy and Pam, along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews who will deeply miss him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peggy and Paul Stockwell Sr., and his sister, Sandy.
In a testament to his carefree outlook on life, Paul did not make any arrangements regarding his passing, believing that life would go on indefinitely. This has led to his young daughter, Holly, who is currently a college student, facing the overwhelming responsibility of planning his memorial. His sister Pam has initiated a fundraising campaign on GoFundMe, shared on Facebook, to assist with the costs of cremation and returning Paul to Hermosa Beach for a fitting farewell. Those wishing to contribute can find the campaign through the link provided or contact Pam at [email protected].
As noted by poet William Morecomb, “And we will hear the echo of your laughter over the pain.” Further details regarding the upcoming memorial services to honor Paul will be disclosed at a later time.
