Patanjali Yogpeeth Launches Innovative Emergency and Critical Care Hospital

A new chapter in medical science has been established at Patanjali Yogpeeth with the launch of the Patanjali Emergency and Critical Care Hospital. This facility was inaugurated in Haridwar amidst a traditional Yagna ceremony, attended by noted figures such as Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna.

During the inauguration, Swami Ramdev emphasized that this hospital represents the beginning of a novel approach to medical practice. He described the establishment as a foundational step towards a future facility that will surpass the capabilities of prominent institutions such as AIIMS, Apollo, and Medanta in the Delhi-NCR region. He clarified that Patanjali aims to create a medical system that prioritizes patient care over corporate interests.

The hospital is designed to offer a comprehensive approach to healthcare, merging Ayurveda and modern medical practices. Swami Ramdev stated that the aim is to utilize modern medicine primarily for emergencies, advocating for an integrative method that draws on traditional healing practices.

Acharya Balkrishna further contributed to the discussion by asserting that only 20 percent of current medical practices are necessary for effective treatment. He believes that by incorporating 80 percent of traditional medicine, significant improvements can be made in healthcare systems worldwide within a few years.

The facility is equipped to handle complex surgeries, including those of the brain, heart, and spine. It will also provide advanced diagnostic services such as MRI, CT scans, X-rays, ultrasounds, and various laboratory tests. According to Swami Ramdev, the hospital will avoid imposing burdensome package fees on patients, focusing instead on essential treatments.

Swami Ramdev highlighted the team of dedicated professionals, which includes Ayurvedic specialists, modern medical doctors, and naturopathy experts. He noted that the hospital will only perform surgeries when absolutely necessary, thus minimizing unnecessary interventions.

Acharya Balkrishna expressed optimism about the future, stating that the vision for Patanjali”s healthcare model is coming to fruition. He emphasized the importance of a unified approach to medicine, where the primary objective is the well-being of the patient, free from the constraints of target-driven practices seen in larger hospitals.

The launch event featured contributions from various healthcare professionals, including Dr. Sunil Ahuja and members from different medical departments, demonstrating a collective commitment to this innovative healthcare model.
