Barbara Rey, a Spanish actress, has officially withdrawn her lawsuit against her son, Ángel Cristo Jr, and television personality Alessandro Lequio after reaching a settlement with the media company Mediaset. This development follows a series of events that began in November 2024 when Rey filed a defamation suit against both parties, claiming she was subjected to a “media hunt.”
The actress alleged that her son had disseminated photographs of her without her consent and had also stolen personal documents, thereby violating her right to honor. Additionally, she directed criticism at Lequio, who is a contributor to the show “Vamos a ver.”
Now, a year later, Rey has decided to withdraw her legal action, which was anticipated as she has joined the cast of the new season of “Bailando Con las Estrellas,” a popular dance competition on Telecinco.
In other news, Rey responded to the upcoming memoirs of former King Juan Carlos I, stating, “I am not the least bit interested,” emphasizing that everyone shares their own life stories. Rey concluded her remarks by indicating her indifference to the contents of the memoirs, which are set to be published in France on November 5, 2024, with a Spanish release a month later.
