During the recent Power of Women event hosted by Variety, the actress, who is 28 years old, posed the question, “What did you expect?” while discussing the show”s upcoming content.
Sweeney revealed that the third season will also be the series” final chapter, a fact that has been confirmed by HBO. Reflecting on her journey with the show, she noted, “I grew up with all these people. I filmed the pilot when I was 20 and the first season when I was 21, so it definitely hits different,” alluding to the emotional weight of concluding the series.
Expressing her sentiments about the end of this significant chapter, she added, “I feel like I”m going to cry a river.” The final season will feature a star-studded cast that includes Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Maude Apatow, Colman Domingo, Alexa Demie, and Eric Dane. Additionally, new faces joining the cast for the upcoming season include Sharon Stone, Marshawn Lynch, Rosalia, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, Eli Roth, Trisha Paytas, and Colleen Camp.
Another cast member, also 28, shared insights with Variety last month, stating, “The new episodes are incredibly clever and cinematic. I don”t know what everyone else is doing. My story was very particular. You don”t know what the others are. It”s like the FBI files,” highlighting the unique narratives within the series. “It”s great because I will be able to enjoy the show the same way everyone else does, something I haven”t been able to do before,” she concluded.
