Three Arrested Following Shooting Incident in Salamanca

The National Police in Spain apprehended three men believed to be responsible for a shooting that occurred during a violent altercation in Salamanca.

The incident took place in the early hours of October 6 in the Carmen neighborhood. According to police reports, the conflict erupted between a group of people in the street and the trio who arrived at the scene in a van.

During the confrontation, one of the suspects retrieved a shotgun from the vehicle and fired two shots at another individual present. Meanwhile, another assailant struck a woman with a blunt object, while a third man threatened bystanders with a knife.

After the attack, the assailants fled the scene, abandoning their vehicle. Upon arrival, police found a man lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to his abdomen and leg, as well as a woman with a noticeable facial injury.

The injured man reported that his wounds were inflicted by a shotgun, and the woman”s injuries were caused by an assault with a blunt object. Both victims received initial medical care at the scene before being transported to a hospital for further treatment.

In the course of their investigation, officers conducted a search of the area and discovered a plastic wad from a 12-gauge shotgun shell, similar to those used in hunting cartridges, along with a knife. They also located the van used by the attackers, which was subsequently seized and taken to a municipal impound lot.

Through their investigative efforts, authorities were able to identify the suspects, who were arrested on the following day. They were taken into custody and have since been presented to the judicial authorities in Salamanca.
