The Women”s Tennis Association (WTA) is commemorating global style and culture with stunning portraits of players participating in the 2025 WTA Finals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This event, presented by PIF, marks the conclusion of the tennis season.
As the tournament approaches, prominent female tennis stars are showcasing how sport and fashion continue to enhance the sport”s global appeal. The official player portraits, released today by the WTA, feature these athletes dressed in designer outfits.
In alignment with the WTA”s pioneering spirit, this year”s portraits highlight the power and individuality of these superstars who are reshaping both sports and culture. Players such as Coco Gauff, wearing an exclusive design by Miu Miu, and Jasmine Paolini in Brunello Cucinelli, are among those featured. Aryna Sabalenka showcases Alberta Ferretti, while Iga Swiatek dons a custom piece from Lurline, a Saudi brand created by sisters Sarah and Siham Albinali. Taylor Townsend appears in Herve Leger, and Luisa Stefani wears Altuzarra, among many others. Details about the players” outfits can be found on the WTA”s website.
Gauff, the reigning WTA Finals singles champion, expressed her excitement, stating, “It was great to see everyone dressed in different styles, and it”s always fun to get dressed up. We spend the entire year in sportswear, so this was an opportunity to showcase our personality and style in a different light.”
The official portraits were captured by award-winning Yemeni-Egyptian-American photographer Yumna Al-Arashi at Bab AlSaad, a cultural center in the historic district of Diriyah. Creative direction and styling were overseen by SJS Studios based in New York. Each portrait features the top eight singles and doubles players in the world.
During the upcoming eight days, these players will vie for a record prize pool of 15.5 million dollars, with the undefeated singles champion taking home an unprecedented 5.235 million dollars, the largest prize in the history of women”s sports. The singles champion will receive the Billie Jean King Trophy, while the winning doubles team will be awarded the Martina Navratilova Trophy.
Competition will commence on November 1 at the King Saud University Sports Arena and will run until November 8.
