China Successfully Launches Yaogan-46 Remote Sensing Satellite

China has successfully launched a new remote sensing satellite, designated Yaogan-46, from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in the southern province of Hainan. The launch took place at 11:47 AM local time on Monday, according to state-run Xinhua News.

The satellite was carried into orbit by China”s indigenous Long March-7 carrier rocket and has now entered its intended orbital position. The primary functions of the Yaogan-46 satellite will focus on disaster prevention and relief efforts, as well as conducting land resource surveys, hydrological studies, and meteorological observations.

This launch marks the 605th mission of the Long March carrier rocket series, showcasing China”s advancements in space technology and its commitment to enhancing its capabilities in remote sensing and scientific research.
