Mount Hayes, a towering peak in Alaska reaching 8,000 feet, has become a focal point for conspiracy theories suggesting it conceals a hidden extraterrestrial base. This mountain, while appearing unremarkable, has gained notoriety over the years due to numerous accounts of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) reported in the vicinity.
The intrigue surrounding Mount Hayes has led to its depiction in various media, including a limited series titled The Secrets of Mount Hayes on Apple TV. Additionally, the Travel Channel aired a documentary called Searching for UFOs Beneath Mount Hayes, further fueling public interest in the area.
In a preview for the Apple TV series, paranormal researcher Jonny Enoch expressed his belief in the existence of “unpredictable, dangerous forces at work” in the region. This notion has roots in historical documents from the CIA, which suggest that extraterrestrial beings may be operating hidden facilities on Earth, including beneath the ocean and in remote mountain ranges.
According to reports, these documents were purportedly made available through the U.S. Freedom of Information Act. Among the locations identified, Mount Hayes was mentioned alongside other notable sites such as Monte Perdido in Spain and submerged areas near Puerto Rico and the Bahamas. One particularly intriguing document titled Description of Personnel Associated ET Bases designated Mount Hayes as a “primary base” for extraterrestrial activities.
Witnesses have claimed to observe unusual aerial phenomena near the mountain, with some incidents occurring during the 1970s and 1980s, a time when the CIA was involved in various experimental programs, including the STARGATE initiative. This project explored the potential of psychic phenomena, including remote viewing, amidst the backdrop of the Cold War space race with the Soviet Union.
One document recounts an individual who reportedly described observing an “entity” with a “very large, round-shaped head” and an appearance deemed “very unhuman.” This encounter was noted to involve a figure characterized as “very pale” with a “sharp nose,” although there is no record of any drug screening for this individual.
Despite the seemingly outlandish nature of such claims, they continue to capture the attention of UFO enthusiasts. The History Channel, which has a substantial following, recently shared a clip titled CIA Analyst Discovers UFO Base in Alaska, which has garnered significant views online. Another video questioning whether Mount Hayes is linked to numerous unexplained disappearances has also attracted substantial interest.
