Facebook Acquires 30% Stake in Reliance”s AI Venture with Rs 855 Crore Investment

Meta Platforms, Inc.“s Facebook Overseas has secured a 30 percent stake in a new artificial intelligence venture established by billionaire Mukesh Ambani“s Reliance Industries. This information was disclosed in a regulatory filing.

According to the filing, Reliance will maintain a majority interest of 70 percent in Reliance Enterprise Intelligence Ltd. The newly formed company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Reliance Intelligence, which is itself a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Ltd.

The two companies have committed to an initial investment of Rs 855 crore in the joint venture. This investment is part of a broader strategy to develop, market, and distribute enterprise AI services.

The incorporation of Reliance Enterprise Intelligence Ltd. took place on October 24, 2025, and it will operate as the joint venture company under the amended agreement with Facebook Overseas, Inc., which is also a wholly-owned subsidiary of Meta Platforms, Inc.

The regulatory filing noted that no governmental or regulatory approvals were necessary for the establishment of this new entity.

Through this partnership, Reliance aims to leverage AI technology to enhance enterprise services, marking a significant step in the company”s ongoing digital transformation efforts.
